Magna Mater is part of an ongoing series of domestic exteriors. Through familiar but uncanny scenes, I observe the home as a physical, psychological, and social space.
Through nostalgic suburban imagery I tell stories of care, labour, routines, and relationships intertwining with the domestic habitat.
Common household objects, rituals, and structures are loaded with memories and associations, pointing us to experiences that are both deeply personal and universal.
